On August 14, 2008, President Bush signed the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) into law. This consumer product safety law, known as CPSIA compliance, affects everyone who manufactures, imports, or distributes toys, apparel, kids' bedding, and other children's products in the United States. It was created to protect children from unsafe products.
